Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AA level. That standard covers things like readable color contrast, text that can be resized, clear headings, descriptive image text, and pages that work with a keyboard and with screen readers.
What we've done
- Built every page with meaningful headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate easily
- Chosen text and background colors with strong contrast
- Described images with alternative text
- Made menus, forms, and question lists fully usable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator
- Respected your device's reduced-motion setting
- Designed every page to work on phones, tablets, and larger screens
Other websites we link to
Some features, including our TaxDome client portal and the IRS and North Carolina payment sites, are run by other organizations. We choose partners that take accessibility seriously, but we don't control their websites. If you have trouble with one of them, let us know and we'll help you another way.
